They go on to talk about the value of "guest-starring people like Native Americans that are stars, like Billy Mills ... actually showing real life characters that are Native American, that are role models." They develop a promising scenario about an Indian clinic, drawing on their own experiences, saying it would be more "real" than shows like ER. They discuss the possible need for a strong male character, since most of the discussion has reflected their experiences as single mothers:

I: The other thing is, I have a hard time finding, looking for a strong male role model figure. Should we have him as a mythical figure? You know, as a shadow?

B: Kinda like the white buffalo.

I: A mythical figure ... is there any? Is that a reality? ... A strong male Native American. Do you know any?

T: No.

I: So we can make one up.

B: So it would be mythical.

I: It is mythical, right.

B: That's the saddest state of affairs.
